Ms. Julie Hicks has received the CALS nomination for the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools (CSGS) Master of Science Thesis award. Julie obtained her MS degree under the direction of Dr. Hsiao-Ching (Sunny) Liu and is currently pursuing her PhD in Dr. Liu's laboratory.
Her thesis will now go to competition at the next level. If her thesis is selected for the CSGS award, Julie will receive $1000, plus travel expenses to attend the CSGS meeting and awards ceremony in Austin, Texas in February 2008.
