The multimedia and photography team provides services to faculty and staff of North Carolina State University. All services must be billed to a department of NCSU or a county extension center.

We cannot provide services to student organizations or do personal work for individual faculty and staff members. Private citizens and enterprises may purchase duplicate slides or prints from images in our existing collection. North Carolina state sales tax will be added to these orders.
Normal turnaround time for photographic and multimedia services is five working days.
Rush service is available for most services.
Rush charges are:1-2 days -- 100%

The multimedia team is available to help with the production of slide/tape presentations. Billing and turnaround time vary considerably depending on the complexity of your request. We will be pleased to assist you with one or all of the following services:Scanning or making copies of slides from our collection
Shooting new slides
Designing and producing
graphic slides
Helping with concept and script
Producing the soundtrack
Synchronizing images with
the soundtrack
Staging the finished presentation

Slide/PowerPoint Creation
If you'd like to improve your slide presentations, our staff will work with you to create dynamic, full-color slides and overhead transparencies so that they will effectively communicate your message.Image Scanning
The multimedia team offers a wide-range of image scanning services. We can produce scans up to 600 dpi from your color or black-and-white slides, 35mm negatives or prints. Scanned images can be saved in a number of popular formats including TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP and others. Scanned images can then be manipulated through PhotoShop to provide color correction, retouching, cropping, etc.
Members of the multimedia team will be glad to consult with you and provide informal one-on-one training when you have a specific need or problem. We can also provide formal training in communications skills including Basic Photography, Computer Graphic Production, Audio Visual Production and Internet Design. Additional classes are offered by other teams in Communication Services.
CD-ROM / DVD Development
One of the most cost-effective ways to distribute interactive multimedia programs and other large computer-based programs is with CDs and DVDs. Our team can work with you to develop the CD/DVD. We can then duplicate copies of the CD or DVD in whatever quantities your project requires. Cost estimates can be provided based on specific project needs.
Location and Studio Photography
Our staff of professional photographers provide high quality location and studio photography services for NC State University faculty and staff. We will be happy to work with you to schedule photography assignments and create high quality images for use in publications, newsletters, exhibits, promotional materials, etc.

All of our color processing and print services are performed by outside professional labs. A courier services provides pick-up and delivery daily. These services include E-6 slide film processing, color negative processing and printing and color enlargements from negatives, slides or digital imagesSlide and Negative Files
We maintain a file of over one million black-and-white and color negatives which represent a good deal of the history of NC State University. These files also include current portraits of many faculty and staff members. We also have over 100,000 color slides on file.
