The North Carolina 4-H Development Fund, is a non-profit, charitable and educational corporation as defined in Internal Revenue Service code 501(c)3. The 4-H Development Fund was formed in 1959 to aid and promote, by financial assistance and otherwise, all types of 4-H programs and activities designed for the 4-H youth of North Carolina at or through the North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering of the University of North Carolina at Raleigh.
